One of my favourite television shows recently was a programme called Life on Mars where a policeman wakes up in the 1970’s. One of the things I love about the show other than the fact that it is well written and acted is the amazing wardrobe that they get to use. The vintage leather jackets are amazing, I thought if I had one I was in danger of re-enacting my favourite Starsky & Hutch episodes. Vintage leather jackets, apart from looking great just bring to me this amazing nostalgia of when clothes were really well made and just looked so cool. So it was at that point that I started to hunt down some good vintage leather jackets.
The problem is with trying to find vintage leather jackets is that unless you are very lucky in your local charity shop, your probably going to end up buying something that doesn’t quite look right or all the lining will be torn or you’ll find something disturbing in one of the pockets that has been sitting there for twenty years. So, as my search for good vintage leather jackets continued, I began to get somewhat despondent. It has to be said my stature is somewhat large, or big boned as my mother used to say, and we all know that people in the 1970’s were much smaller than us. It was then that my vintage leather jackets quest took a turn for the better.
A good friend of mine pointed me in the direction of a website called www.soulrevolver.co.uk, which specialises in new vintage leather jackets with all the cool retro styles that I had been looking for. It’s not just the cut of the leather, but the look, colour and feel of the leather that makes their vintage leather jackets look so authentic. No more would I have to trawl the charity shops for the perfect vintage leather jackets as this website had everything I was looking for. Finally the search was over.
